hmm...the item looks correct. it shows it with those stats with the melone tool and pbwiki (very last bracer).

It's been like that for all eq I've ever seen, excluding things like guns and pet equips.

Yeah, the Shadow Pestle is the only one that really doesn't follow it, but the rainy doll does actually. MaxSP+50 and SPD+21 is 5+21=26 (divide adds of hp/sp by 10)

to make crude oil, make coconut oil (not coconut basin) from centrifuge. then recycle the oil and you will get some other type of oil (usually crude oil).

if you compound tear staffs together it looks like the only thing it says it can produce is snow crystal. i wonder if snow crystal is a base? i guess we would need to figure out what the compound is.

I added hide as another base but is this the same as skin (leather)?

heres some interesting things about it

=> Sheepskin = 69 (hide or Fur)
=> Goatskin = leather(49)
=> Rhinoceros Skin =51(this type includes sea shells/some tentacles/some types of tooth xD(things like ant tentacles,hard shell have this base)

=> White Fox Fur =69 (hide or fur)
=> White Rabbit Fur =69 (hide or fur)
=>Brown Fox Fur= 69
=>Cougar Fur = 69
=>Sable Fur =69

but Beast Fur(49),Wolf Fur(49) and Dinosaur Fur(49) seems leather xD

and ... many more such items with "fur" in their name have 69, so first i was thinking hide and fur are considered same

but the reason why i thought them as different things are this

"Fine Leather" = 49
"Delicate Leather" =49
"Fine Hide" = 69

heres the most confusing part
"Fine Fur" = 49 (49= number for Leather) heheh this is funny ^^ xD

currently in Hawaii shop there's "Fine Hide"(3200g each) and "Delicate Leather" (1400g each)to sell ,if they are same thing i see no reason to sell with 2 different names and prices

its more clear to me that Hide and Skin(or Leather) type are separate, but difficult to understand is that Hide and Fur seems separate(still i do have doubts if hide and fur are separate, the main problem is
"Fine Fur" = 49, if it was "Fine Fur" = 69 then there's no problem , may be its a bug in the game or xD i duno lol)

about snow crystal,

it seems base 66
logically guessing closest class for snow crystal seems to be "Crystal" or "Magic"
but
67 = magic(things like demon jade stone are magic)
31 =Crystals

so yea tear staff and snow crystal both have 66 showing same base types
but i haven't found more items with this base yet, hence i haven't decided a name to call it

btw in database quartz and crystal are considered same
but according to melone
Quartz = 23 (silicon and glass which is made from quartz also have 23)
but crystals =31 things like pink crystal,Anthmyst seems this category

so i think quartz and crystal types needs to be separated

but there are very strange things i noticed from melone for eg
base type or "Plastic" seems to be 18 (which is Iron) heheehe xD

Clays and petroleum systems seems to be very interesting
seems clays are like this

42 =clay
43 =red clay
45 =black clay
46 =white/yellow clay
47 =grey clay
48 =dry clay

may be this is the reason why clays are soo hard to convert from one type to other type of clay, even long time ago i noticed white and yellow clay can be converted to each other easy by compounding but i always had difficulty converting other types(atm , don't remember that i succeed converting also )

petroleum systems looks like this
59 =Crude oil
60 =Coconut oil/naphtha/heavy oil/tar
61 =oil/gasoline/kerosene/unleaded-great gasoline/diesel oil

Coconut oil/naphtha/heavy oil/tar repeatedly recycled
we get crude oil (shows a type conversion here from type 60 to 59)

recycling things like gasoline/kerosene repeatedly also gives crude oil

but i have never seen a formula to convert the given 60 types to 61 types
(i always wanted to compound diesel oil using soybean/Sesame Oil , before i thought i can get it since i get heavy oil sometimes, but above data shows heavy oil and diesel oil are 2 different types,hence it must be super rare even if someone do convert them(some type of interconverions "may" be "impossible")

my conclusion is that

even though rare, it seems that it is still possible to convert one type of material to another types

(fail types like common stone(Rock=34)by mineral ore system ,steamed buns(Wheat=6) by food system,and straw mushroom(vegetable =7) seem very easy types to get converted into) but other types seems super rare

(one funny thing is, even mineral ore system can give vegetable type
for eg skeleton iron sword + vertical can give straw mushroom instead of common stone by failing xD )

im very interested in trying to understand how base types are interconverted to each other, it seems like a cool thing to research into ^^ thanx lot again for showing melone tool scott ^^)

im sorry for this long post with my poor English , it may be hard to understand sometimes due to poor english ehhehe xD

the compounds are not 100%. that is only one possibility for compounding copper ore + copper ore. keep trying and eventually you should make some red vine shoes. that compound definitely does work though.

@dotnet: nice work sorting that stuff out! i added quartz and hide as base materials.

i think the fur/skin/hide stuff suffers from some pretty bad translation...have a fur that is actually classified as skin is pretty annoying. although, i do think the melone tool is correct.

one reason is that i compounded plastic + plastic and i actually got an iron claw! so plastic is really an iron base.

interesting stuff about the clays and the oils. i wasn't aware that there was a conversion from different base types for some of those. i guess we'll have to do some more testing.

you should post your melone classification list and i can compare it to what base materials we have already. i think we are still missing many since melone at least 100 types. i think we only have about 70 or so.

I think I have noticed something about the Copper Cuffs. The database says its class is copper, but..
When I compounded Copper Cuffs+Copper Cuffs, I got a Cloth Hat which is obviously a flower. Then I mixed another Copper Cuffs with the Cloth Hat I got (in this order), failed and got a low level flower as a result.
Moreover, somebody added a following formula (haven't tested it myself though):
Water Bracers (flower!) + Rock Ax --> Copper Cuffs

It seems that Copper Cuffs class is not copper, I'd say it's flower. Or maybe flower/copper, since the Rock Ax is copper/wood and cuffs type items tend to have flower as a secondary class (base class in this case?).

I really dont knnow when to post it, but think that here should be good.

So i found major mistake with material classes they are existing 2 same classes, but different name i mean "red iron" and "pure iron".
Is there possibility to make one name for red pure iron?

I know that mistake is only from difference in game/pbwiki and us.

but it can be confused if exist 2 similar class.

oh ye ai also noticed it but was planing to talk about it once that melone tables is completed xD , anyways yea pure iron is the better name to use and its same as red iron xD
