If you can give me the dimensions of the area the 3 icons will have to fit in, I can do something.
EDIT: it's not recognizing the link right, the "digitalart" gets cut off o.O You might have to copy/paste to get to the right screen or there will be a lot more to look through. ^^; Guy 1: "Hey, see that car?"

Images size for the icons should be 32x32, or that's the area they all have to fit within? Nevermind, I found a solution :D Edited by Sarin:

nice work kazura! those look great. so....i'm trying to think how i should do the the multiple alchemy type compounds. i'm not really going to be able to detect other same compounds with different alchemy types on the fly cause that would definitely hurt performance. should i change it up so there are check boxes for each type of alchemy?
or, i could do calculations based on how the base materials are setup to determine alchemy types...this however wouldn't always work for the weird exceptions. EDIT: i just updated the compounds page to show the icons. i haven't used the multiple alchemy images yet as i'm waiting to hear what you guys think. what do you think about the spot i put the new images in...look alright? hmm check boxes are the best way i could think off , even though it had the disadvantage u mentioned
for last idea as u said doing calculations may not work for weird compounds and we still dont know all these alchemy laws its still in a learning process, so these "exceptional compounds" are the key to learn new/unknown "laws" of alchemy edit

kazura: can you redo a set of icons without the background? few people are saying it's a little hard to read. i'm curious to see how this would look. Last edited Sun, 01 Feb 2009, 9:15am by scott |

yeah sure, I have the psd where they're on separate layers. I'll get right on it. EDIT: scott, it came out harder to read. With only a 32x32 area, the text is basically as big as it gets, even used outlining in the originals to bring it out more, without the outlines and background it's much harder to read. And I'd rather not use icons where people wouldn't have a clue what it means, without checking some sort of guide. EDIT(again): I could use initials like PRIME JR. and SUPER but that's the best I can think of that keeps it understandable. Last edited Sun, 01 Feb 2009, 9:24am by Kazura Guy 1: "Hey, see that car?"

hmm ur icon's letters look more clear, than previous icon about both icons i noticed letter is kinda flat looking , i really like the 3D like effect of the check mark icon and fake items icon which are being used, they are so nice and clear icons with 3d style,so how about make the letter also look more 3d like, also its gonna be more nice if all icons in website are consistent with same/similar styles as en example of what im talking about , i edited kazura file and added few layer styles , im not good with photoshop xD lol may be u guys can edit more and make better 3d looking letters http://wlodb.com/files/3Alch2.psd Last edited Tue, 03 Feb 2009, 11:49am by dotnet54 IGN = taisan, Guild =*none*, Server =Leo1 Spoiler: |

I just love this site. Anyways, I know it might be catering to the alchemy crowd, but could you possibly add an item/compound option that allows multi-tier checks? Right now, in order to determine what an item is useful for in terms of secondary usage (I get a 'bad' product) I plug in the same item type into primary, secondary, and tertiary types to find out what's out there. A single checkbox to find all items of a certain type across subtypes would be LOADS of help. I'm sure someone else can corroborate my meaning. |

good idea. shouldn't take too long to implement...i think i could probably get it done in a few hours. i'll probably get a chance to work on the site a little bit tomorrow. |

Could you please add something to the compound list (and perhaps to the item list also), that it makes possible to jump to a particular page number? It takes a lot of time to go back to the higher numbers, when I want to confirm and edit compoundings. This would be very helpful. I posted a link to fanfiction.net, so you can see what I mean exactly. |

ok, i could do something like that. i'm also trying to figure out someway to fix the confirming so that it will not have to reload the page when clicking the question mark since i know the compounds pages take about 4-5 seconds to load. in case you're wondering what i'm working on now i'm trying to figure out the best way to redo that item and compound popups since they have some issues on all version of internet explorer once you start scrolling down the page. anyone have any suggestions of popups on other sites that work well? i started rewriting them using only CSS but i'm having a couple of display issues on the different browsers. |

That would be great if the pop-ups could be fixed:) Not that good if you want to look at the item status, but have to scroll around until it is visible (if you can see it at all ...) or half of the pop-up disappears within some other writings. And not to reload the page after confirming would be great also!

you are using opera or safari? i think the javascript popup only wasn't working properly on IE. Since 40% of the users use IE I should probably fix it :P |
