this is what i understand from most people, i may be still be wrong so anyone correct me if i say something wrong

Primary

uses the first material as base material, hence the base of result depend on first material
eg=> if wood(rank 10) + grass rank(11) = wood
eg1=> wolf braces(titanium) + wolf tooth(canine) = defensive armour (titanium)
Junior
=====
uses the highest rank material as base material,hence result depend on the highest ranked material
eg=> if wood(rank 10) + grass rank(11) = grass
eg1=> wolf braces(titanium) + wolf tooth(canine) = a canine based material like a bone, or a tooth or claw(not weapon claw)

little correction here
"uses the highest rank material as base material"
actually is needs to be "highest total ranked material"
eg => sea armour(18) + wolf tooth(25) = bone based item(junior) since wolf tooth rank higher
but sea armour(18) + wolf tooth(25) + sea armour(18) = Skeleton Steel Sword
because "highest total ranked material" here = 18 +18 = 36 total rank steel
so result is steel based instead of bone based
sorry if this is little confusing, this is aimed for compounders
