That would never happen?

There's so many ways to spell things like Jeff, geoff, geremy, jeremy, jeremi, jaremi, Vishous, Vixus, Vishus, Veshus, etc etc. One person made a character called Jessi and I believe Jesse on Scorpio so I used DarkJesse and Jessii, you can add certain things to names like NaSenpai, or NaChan, NaChu, NaTan, all the same name but different extensions...

Only sucks that you can't use things like FukaChan or whatever involves the censors.

Not to mention that people delete characters or characters get perma banned or deleted by natural selection/inactivity

Look at my name on Aries, it's Klayton.. I'm sure Clayton is/was taken already at the time I made the character but I didn't check because I was naming my character after Celldweller. You could spell it Cylayton, Caeyton, etc
