the lvl 70 "corundum". many of us tried that and failed countless times, i decided after 3 times the bases in that order were bogus. i checked around in here, wiki, official form, google, and i can find some info indicating that there is a problem, mention of the melone tool and a link to a page, but nothing that actually tells me what the bases are :P can this item be made guys? and if so, what are its actual bases XD are they out of order in db, is the first one different, help pls.

I agree. Materials for this item are wrong or whole item is fake.

I believe they are real.. I remember having many of them.

I could be wrong.

When I searched I found this

If it's in a recipe(or a few rather) doesn't that mean it's real? Maybe one of the materials is wrong but I would need some help from compounders for that.

basically, there is an almost unlimited number of possibilities when it comes to actually making an item. as long as the materials and ranks follow the rules in terms of how much you are asking sup to raise the rank, book used, and order of base materials. a compoundable piece of equipment is a destination and there are so many ways to get there. the formulas in the db for shield bracers are technically sound, IF shield bracers are in fact that lvl and comprised of those materials in that order. if one of the bases was accidentally switched when the equipment was being added, then that is all it would take to create an infinite number of fails :D the db fail-safe only applies to formulas that make sense, it has no way to know if they actually exist. i would be happy to experiment and find out of the bases are only in the incorrect order, if someone would deposit some book 4s in my inventory :P

-one reason im most interested in shield bracers is that many alchemists agree that formulas are more stable when all pieces are the same lvl . a lvl 70 corundum item would be lovely

--a thought occurs, if admin remembers having many of them, does that mean they were made from instance equips? perhaps corundum copper gold or something?

I used to only ever compound instance items when I had them, so I guess.

I can't remember though.
