Are you new to bursting? or just plain new to Wonderland?
This guide is to help people understand all the pros and cons of Lvling and RBing. Many people discuss why lvling to lv 180 or 199 is better than RBing at lv 100. There are many pros and cons to all 3. so here's a list for all of you to enjoy.
ATTENTION: "*" = optional

Leveling to 100 then RB-

Pros:
experience the pleasure of being an RB sooner
have better respect among others for being an RB
start off back at LV1, lvling up is faster than bursting
regular remote training no need for electronic remote
able to use exp potions
* waste less money buying HP food than SP food
able to get JS (if you have the gold)
gain more items from fighting regular monsters

Cons:
RB cape is only +10 Stat (stat is depended on the job)
less exp is gained through regular training rather than bursting
need a good team to have good regular training (takes time to find or make)
LV is back to 1 so higher lv eqs can't be worn
more hp is damaged during regular training so hp food is used more quickly
* waste more money buying new eqs as you lvl up

Leveling to 180 then RB-

Pros:
when you RB, your cape has +60 stat
you start off back at LV 81 so most eqs can be equipped
regular training is easier with the higher lvl stats
gain more respect than a LV 1 RB
doing quests and events are easier
* JS can be acquired after RB and you're able to take part in the battle
* DS can be acquired during your bursting to make it easier (Fires)
easier to find a team to burst with if you are LV 120 and above

Cons:
takes a much longer time than LV 100
* more and more money is wasted buying more amounts of SP food
must have the e-remote for a longer time (waste more IM points)
harder for fires to decrease their spds as it increases each lvl
must continuously capture pets for bursting

Leveling to 199 then RB-

Pros:
start off at LV 100, able to eq any lv eqs
gain ultimate respect as a lv 100 RB
able to do even harder quests
cape has +80 stats (best amount of stat gain by cape)
able to fight higher lvl mobs for exp
able to do events and quests faster
more people help out a lvl 199 to RB than a lv 100 or 180
if not RB than you will never get eq damage from any fights(JS, DS, FB, RB)
have higher stats when you go into regular training (lose less hp and faster fights)

Cons:
most difficult to lvl to
unable to burst anymore after reaching lv 180 so you must regular train from then on
regular training areas for training to lvl 199 are very scarce
* must use a large amount of both SP food and HP food (wastes a lot of gold)
lvling from lv 180 to lv 199 by regular training takes a very long time
finding a team to train with is difficult (not many try for lv 199)

Well, that's all the Pros and Cons of all the leveling choices. I hope this guide helps people who can't decide on what lvl they wanna RB at or get to.

overall a good discussion!.all valid points.but as usual,for every rule,there is an exception:).my experience with my rb,s (burst to 180)has been an overall good one,as they dont waste money on sp/hp food.soul dodge and blood suck take care of all my healing needs during training.granted, not everyone can say this though.i encourage mage builds to invest in soul dodge, and fighter builds bloodsuck.and max out the skill at low levels .u can avoid one of those dreaded cons of rb training in this manner

@bearbug - well bearbug, its true what you said but, as you can see in the title: (guide for newbies) means its for people who are barely starting bursting or just new players who wanna know all the benefits of each RB timing. I'm not saying you can't post that but just know this is for all those new players who don't know all the patterns of bursting that save them money.

@Murcielago - thank you and murciel, getting to lv 199 isn't so bad. if you notice, lv 199 has the most pros about it. So basically more benefits come from being lv 199. But again, as I always say, "your" choice is the one that matters.

You can use capsules to level to 199 , debuff training... ETC.

I wanna be the jerk in this topic, and state a fact, simply because ppl who are unsure when to Rebirth may benefit from hearing it.

No one respects a Rebirth lower than Level 80. When someone lower than Lv80 RB joins a Sealed Demons Instance, No one is relying on them to do anything. No one is counting on them to have their JS or even their DS. I would have more faith in a team of Lv150's than a team of Lv50 RB's to beat a Minotaur. Because chances are, the non-RB team has higher goals set for themselves, and ppl will respect them just for that fact. Rebirthing at Lv100 gives you a +10 Cape.. And.. That's cool..~ Even something as simple as a Water Necklace would offer better stats. Who's gonna take pride in being a Rebirth if they can't take pride in wearing their Cape because they know a Water Necklace is superior to it? Sure, you can put a Fairy Spar +42 or Dew Spar +44 into it, but with a little extra effort, you can have those same Cape stats WITHOUT inserting a Spar. Seriously. What do you wanna equip. The cape you worked so hard for? Or a Water Necklace? Just Sayin.

All that matters in the end is that you're happy with your choices, and the outcome of your time and effort.

If you RB at 180 you cape is +63 not 60
and personaly i respect a lvl 110 non rb more thn a lvl 11RB cuz I think its taking the easy way out (and your cape cant break so I think its better to wait and get a deasent 1)

However I did noob Rb a a riding pet trainer and I must say it was worth it its so easy to lvl %# but ill never use it in actual battle so i saw it as acseptable

then I also think its worth adding that you get a 10% increase to 1 stat(depending on wat you rb as) when you rb so your 10% will be more if you rb at a higher lvl...

but depite that awsum guide that im sure will help quite a few pepole

yup, I hate that, when higher lvled people kill newbies just because they think its funny or just to get respect. today I saw a lvl 76 water get killed by a lvl 45 fire wit. I couldn't stand it! I just jumped in, used my DS and made her flew(I got a crit). Then she came back and challenged me again! this time she had her other accounts with her. I was like wow, what a noob... I turned off my pk after I flew her. so I used the time when she was saying I was a coward and stuff like that to bring my other accs to the beach. I join with them and then pked that stupid fire mage and her team. they were pathetic, she had a lvl 27 water, and 2 other fire s, a priest and a seer. I pwned them all and just destroyed her. well... actually, I killed her lvl 45 fire wit(leader of her team) with "my" fire wit. I LOLED my pants off! I used cuss on her and then I had my fire killer hf my wit and then I used fire combo beating. to put it simple I pwned her in one turn.
My point is: people who fight others just for fun are complete jerks. I didn't fight that fire wit for fun, I wanted to teach her a lesson. She was fighting a lvl 76 water, is that fair at all?

no and they will still do it just to be ass holes i was pked by a noob and then a bunch of level 130+'s jumped and killed me like i pked him j- when it was the noob that was pking me and i got my 129Rb fire killer and killed all the higher levels then one keep pking me cause i killed him and crited made him spawn and no matter what he tryied i keep killing him (even mess poke i killed him) and finally i got tired of killing him and turned pk off but the Rb's are not the only ones that are jerk's the noob that keep pking me would say i pked him j- when was him pking me while i was on remote

i understand this is for the new,unfamiliar player:)thats precisely why i shared my nugget of joy.i sure do wish i had known what i said when i was a noob.woulda helped out a bunch

You should put the hp and sp food as an optional variable, because it's usually easier to find a water to train with if they aren't already one(with an e-remote as well), one extra or less pro/con can change a mind of a new player since they may or may not be able to constantly afford food.

yes it is a good point cause you don't need to buy food can make it on another account (fifth account if you are running your team to burst)and have another at the chicken's to gather seed's if you can run and do have 6 or more account's

I rebirthed my earth killer @ 113 and her roca, when pet rebirth came out (I was prepared. I had killed roca and been to holy did rb quest and was logged out at bankok waiting to 'take the cape') and yes was 1st to rb a pet on virgo ( Bui couldn't get update to work xD )

But this account had ALWAYS been normal trained, and now there is quite a few accounts on virgo, that I know off rebirthed with pet in similar manner at 100

If you are in sealed demonz and you 'diss' less than 80 rebirths, to me it say's more about YOU and YOUR treatment of others in game than the afore mentioned rebirth.
That being said it seems to me an awful lot of lower level RB's have no clue about questing xD, but after I murk fox, I sometimes give them team on mino, so they get a prize (and yes I 99% of the time mino not been beaten by then so I can attack it get them prize and go murk Orachi afterwards xD )

Some players do instance's on lower level alts/toy's/manufacturer's/gather's mainly to comp base's on junior, AND for the challenge and fun in achievement. xD

I was IN FACT the 1st on virgo to rb a pet coz me and xxbabyxx was at pet rb random 1st day of pet rb right after mait ended and xxbabyxx took longer on random xD

So in FACT the 1st pet rb on virgo was the Roca known as Leah now 153 rb xD

Bui had logged her charcters with pets waiting to rb at hanging gardens BUT she had problems updateing that version so she could NOT fulfill her ambition to have 1st pet rb on virgo

@kenson. I just noticed that little remark you threw at me. One thing you need to understand, we come from different servers, so our in-game worlds work differently. Just like the ppl in them work differently. Yeah, grind training your way past Lv100 is an accomplishment. No doubt about it. But in this game, unless it's for your own personal pride, you're just letting time slip away. If you wanna grind train, do it from Lv180-Lv199, where it really counts.

As far as "dissing" RB's under level 80, you completely missed the point. It's not about dissing anyone. It's about preventing ppl who actually like their characters from regretting a choice they can't go back and change. And sometimes, it's a damn shame. Now, I may not have been the 1st to RB a pet in my server, but I can easily name 10+ ppl who Rebirthed early, realized they made a mistake, and were so bothered by it or lost on the fact that they can't burst anymore that they completely abandoned the characters and made new ones. Either that or they live on Starter's Beach now.

Either way you wanna look at it, reread the 1st sentence of Post #8 of this topic, then read Post #10. Just sayin.

Yes 198 and 199 is the same cape.

See my avatar? That is my character. He's what I'd like to call "okay" due to his amphibious capabilities (can suit stats to needed). But guess what? I know someone who is about 3 levels higher than me with a +10 cape and guess what. He can demolish me quicker than I can kill a jelly monster. Only thing that differentiates people with +63 capes and higher and +10 capes are the fact that some people didn't have the patience to continue to get a higher level, but earnestly, I respect people with low level capes more than I do with people with perfect capes. They don't waste their life on a game to the point where they leave their computer running 24/7 for the next year just to get that perfect cape, they play whenever they want to for fun, not competition. So think about it. A year spent playing wlo resulting in a perfect cape which during in that time you could have created an iphone 20, or a year spent studying for tests and doing good in school and having fun resulting in a low level cape.

Something to think about eh?

I am going to rb 180lv :), I almost done it. After burst I won't do rb unitil I rb all my pets :).

aside from relyin on capsules, what kind of training do you have to do in order to level up from 180-199? and where is the best place?

There's a think called "debuffing" or "assist train" use an assist skill on a player or pet or on an enemy. Generally it depends on the level of your character, but at lvl 168 my water was obtaining around 2000ish on weekends at rome, went to south pole and exp was similar, also tried it at dragon flies and it was about half less but still good, mostly depends on level I assume. Typically I'd assume the best place is sharks because they are supposingly the highest level mobs in wlo that are not from an event or quest, not sure about training island mobs though, they might be higher, but sharks has the advantage of not having the hassle of getting points to get training vouchers.
