Prehaps you could add if a Monster is catchable along with the stats, drops and whatnot. Most people wonder and ask about certin pets or assume they are because of the item mall versions of them. Just a thought. ^^

Monsters lvl 90+ arent catchable. also most monsters with buffs/debuffs arent. humanoids cant be caught, and i think that about covers it. Server:Gemini

There are lower level bats. Maybe the pets weren't the 90+ ones. Duremite, I like your idea. But allow me to be the Devil's Advocate... If we don't have an existing database that lists monsters are catchable we will need a TON of input from players to edit every monster listed. What is that, like 500?

There are just some that aren't catchable... Osyla seems to be an odd place since you can't catch the BIG longneck (only the small ones are catchable), pterosaur or drowcrusher... KaozReaper - for-hire Alchemist

I tried to catch those lil scorpions in the Crit Weapon quest and couldn't do it... spent a good 20 minutes on it. Used a lvl 150 fire and a rebirthed 83 water... the scorpion had 3 hp (got lucky there)... It was the awesome black scorp. :D couldn't nab it. KaozReaper - for-hire Alchemist

The newest Melone Tool that dotnet gave link to ( http://wlodb.com/topics/667?page=3#p38155 ) shows catchable/uncatchable status of monsters.

a lot of the mobs that could not be caught in previous versions can be caught now. The timestamp for dotnet's post was Thu, 19 Feb 2009, 11:17pm and we have new versions since then. So things that couldn't be caught back then might be caught now. FORUM RULES WLO EMOTICONS

lol wow, surprise seeing this thread still around. Anywho, this thread was indeed made well before v5, it was actually made after v3 had been released. As was stated, there were a lot of catchable monsters now that couldn't be caught or didn't exist then. Since the feature has been added to the site, I believe it would be in line to close this topic now since it's no longer relivant and this is a slow moving sub-forum making it likely to be necroed. |
