980x is getting v7.0 Island of Rhodes n stuff on September 23rd.
The original is all but abandoned, the developers that are finally allowed to work on updating the game again (apparently they weren't allowed to? thats why theres been very very little since 2011, besides new servers and mobile) even stated that it would probably be easier to start a new server than try to fix the old ones that had the dupe problems, especially 2-3 years after the fact.

It's not the same server that's getting the update, it's two completely different servers.
Essentially it's just a relaunch of the game with rhodes island added as well as vip features from mainland, with nothing else on-top of it.
