i was thinkin about new pats in the web. "quests items". where will be items with "quests prop" description, and jimple answert, to wich quests it is needed :) maybe later added full desxrition/ling to the quest.

I'm often looking at several different items. After checking out one item, I have to click on the Items or Advanced Search to look up the next item.

Is it possible to squeeze in the basic item search on the same screen as when you are looking at all the details of an item? Even if it was at the bottom of the page.

I think this will help anyone who doesn't have a fast internet connection, and those of us that run enough WLO games to eat up all of our bandwidth. :)

hmmm....i might be able to do something like that. what i do is just middle mouse button click on each item i want to look at and it opens it in a new tab.

I agree with that idea, Gaia is one of the easiest sites to go around. Something like that would make it easier on here, for example:
You hover the mouse over the 'Compounds' button, and a drop-down menu appears with things like "Add a New Compound" "Compound Calculator" and "Advanced Search."
Or:
Hover over the Forums button, and the various Subforums are listed in a drop down, so you can hop to things like "Bug Report" "Announcements" "Compounding & Manufacturing" and "Quests" faster.

Not only would this save people time, but there will be less page loading for the site overall, which might speed things up a little.

I added quest help and marketplace forums for each server.

hi scott, another suggestion xD

u may know about the alchemy medal that gives to some official forum users who make alchemy guides there, and many times we add compounds to this site by referring to those guides

so i just thought, why not invite those people to this forum xD i mean like sending a private message to them and give special invitation, may be then if they accept , we'll have some great compounders here to help out

also , can u add each of their names with medals to the "Source" combo box in new compounds page, now there's only one medal holder name in the Source combo box , (that is "rafoi.rpgwars.org" which represents TheRealRafoi and his guides(current moderator of Synthesis paradise in official forum))

people with alchemy medal given so far(25/1/2009) are these(not all these people may be "great alchemists" but most are very good and have made great guides)

I may be late on the discussion here but... I use this site a lot and the only thing that I have trouble with is the Forum. I might be looking for something special and I have to go thru tons of posts. Is there anyway to do a search in the forum, like Key words? I am not a programmer, but seems to me there should be a way to cue in on certain terms? Good Site Scott!!

And Scott, a long time ago, i was a webmaster of sorts. I had live chat on some of my sites. So that pple that entered the site, could chat with each other and exchange instant thoughts... might try something like that too.

can u add few more little combo box on items page with "AND","OR", and "NOT" between primary,secondary, and tertiary base materials to do logical searches , i mean for now we r doing only "AND" searches id we select for eg primary =grass, secondary=flower , but sometimes "OR" searches are also needed

2=>
search page of forum is kinda very primitive currently , as Brightfire said(and remember some other guy also suggested same in another thread hehehexD) adding key words is a good idea for better search

also i think now search needs little more complex interface to account for the bigger forum now

official forum search page is good interface , one important thing i like is to show correct page of keyword/search word in the search results link, i hate in official forum when i search long threads may be like 30 pages long and search results only give link to 1st page dont show exact page where word is in xD ( may be i duno how to do it lol)

a way to sort the thread in forum in different orders
like this

ways to order descending/ascending by date/time etc....
and also a way to jump to a particular page in forum forum (someone also suggested this also in another thread heheheexD)
