I was real excited for the new version, my favorite thing is all the new weapons & clothing. I thought I had saved enough gold to buy a few things...well how wrong I was the ever so greedy Taurus server has outlandish prices and i might be only to afford 1 thing. They are selling purple demon suit for 1 million and the new wands at 4 mill. This is the greediest of greeds and i think that server needs an enema. Can others please post v6 prices and thier server?

The v6 items were just released and they are in very high demand. Alchemists want to make the most profit out of their compounds so they can afford to make more items and make more money. The high demand for these items is what drives the prices up. Like when v5 was released. I saw tons of people selling Christmas trees for an insane amount of gold and now you can't find anyone selling christmas tree and when we get around chrismas we might only see a few and they will be very cheap I think. New items are always going to be sold for an insane amount of gold because they are new. If you can I would wait a few weeks to let the craziness of the new version die down then I'm sure you will start to find some normal prices on the new items. I have a few items that I want to buy not because I need them but just to look cute while I train but I plan on waiting atleast a month before I buy them.

Here's what I think about "greedy" people: you want something, and they have what you want. There's nothing stopping them from pricing whatever they want, especially when they know there will be dozens of people at their doorsteps with that kind of money in their hands.

The best way to get back at them, is to not buy their stuff and make your own! Then you can laugh at their 4m wands when you got it for, well, less than 4m.

I've seen one of the new level 80+ wands for 2.5 million and figured that it must be very difficult to make since that particular seller always has fair prices. Then, I checked on this site and found that you need five ingredients to make it. While it looks cool it should have far better stats given the difficulty it is to make that particular wand.

So a lot of it isn't greed, but a reflection of the challenge it is to make such items.

main reason for high prices is becoz of alchemy books so expensiv..
i giv up on selling V6 new items, books r hard to find n very expensiv..
better make only for my won use. ^.^

I am among one of the people in Taurus server who relies my earnings mostly from compounding. I do not claim to be a pro-alchemist but I do what I can. I would like to think that I am selling V6 items at a fairly decent prices. Considering that most of the V6 armors and equips are kinda difficult to compound, and the fact that people started to sell books at a way too high prices even before V6 was released, I do hope buyers can still see the wisdom of what we alchemist had to go through just to compound one single item.

Alchemy books are free since you can win them in instances and by fighting guarnards at Relic Island. I sold 50 of my book fours, and am keeping 20 for myself just in case I get into the habit of compounding again. If I want some of the v6 items I might trade some IM stuff for it, but the money I'm saving on this game will go to potential pills for now, and maybe some weights to train my new wind knight and sharks.

is true that they may b expensive but XD u don't know how fustrating is 2 try 2 get a sertain item 2 compound and u use a book and u fail 2 make it -_- and u have 2 try again and again and u waste a lot of money on materials and books since hawaii materials r freaking expensive >_> if a seller want 2 make money he have 2 sell higher than what he wasted on making the item in the first place =D if u complain that is 2 expensive XD try 2 make it u'r self and then c how hard it is.i know this mainly cos i'm a compounder also ^^

On Aries the first wand I seen with the most insane price is lvl 82 I think.
not sure the name of it but stats r +60 matk +22 mdef. 8.5mil for it and I know the person selling it cause shes in my guild lol. I asked her why and she said she tried 7 times and got only 1 out of it. :( Good luck everyone I make all my stuff even if it cost me the same to buy it. Its a pride thing. :)

Actually, higher average prices are good because one can buy more things from Hawaii to compound with. If a book4 sells for 300k then you can buy much more NPC stuff than you could if it sold for 30k. Here in Cancer prices are high for v6 stuff (maybe I should sell my wizard suit ;) just kidding ^_^), but are very hard to make. I bought blue rider boots for 400k ( a fair price I think given the ingredients it needs) and light purple shoes for 300k, so even here that is at least 700k, then I needed blue woolen to make red flame shoes, another 120k, and that took two tries to make (the long purple boot method failed me :( ) Book 4s usually cost 30k ( I received mine from a couple of fighting guarnards. Now I'm at sharks). One failed red flame boots compound = 122k counting price of book four, but this is lucky since it was my only fail on the way to making the wizard suit.

So one can understand why cat claw boots are 2 mil: it needs five tough ingredients and probably has high fail rate because you cannot use an alchemy book.

About purple demon suit, I sell it to my friend for only 200k at gemini server. And 70k for purple headband for her

^Selling it to a friend is usually a lot cheaper than selling it to a complete stranger lol

I'm a bit confused here about who is the greedy one. You frame us greedy for selling expensive equipments but what about the book sellers? I'm in Taurus myself and if you still haven't realise this, books are 2x the price they used to be before V6 came out. Book4s are 150k+ when they used to be 60-70k before, and that's if you're lucky to find any book at all.

Well, since we are the 'greediest of greeds', I suggest you stop whining and make the stuff yourself or don't buy from us at all.

@Deioky You really just proved the reason yourself right there because there aren't as many books as before because many are trying to get the new items many alchemists are trying to find and buy any books they can get their hands on and since the demand skyrocketed the price did as well

Everything is more expensive at Gemini too - before v6 I used to see people selling syrups for 20-30g, now I display mine for 45g and after 5 minutes they are bought! The same thing with books. I have no idea why prices have risen so quickly.

I think the prices have risen, because alot of the new equips, which people want, are really hard to make and thats why they are very expensive. So people price their stuff higher to be able to buy these equips sooner. Also stuff which is needed for new manufacturings is more expensive now, than it was before the new version was out.

From my personal experience, the people who complain that compounders are such greedy overprices arent compounders themselves. They dont have a clue how expensive it is to buy stuff from the hawaiian store, or egypt, also buying books is expensive. And it is not like they are super-easy to get from that sea animal instance. Even if you are doing it with 12 charas in one day doesnt mean you will get at least a single book 1. Sometimes I have enough bad luck to get not even one book in a whole week.

Also these people seem to think that every compounding will give you exactly what you want, there are no failures and with a book in your compounding, it is guaranteed you will get the best stuff.

If you tell them, that it is not like that at all, they wont listen. If you tell them to get junior alchemy, level it to 10, then get superior alchemy and level it up to a decent level (mine is 22 atm.), they will start to whine about how hard it is to get the needed quest materials first and that they are to lazy to level these skills. Not to talk about that they arent interested in learning how alchemy works, and arent even able to do the easiest compoundings by themselves.

People like that have absolutly no right to complain about the costs of equipment, since they dont know what they are talking about.

And like others said before: If you dont like compounders prices, then get your ass up and learn how to do it yourself, instead of whining, complaining and begging to the ones who already doing the hard work.

Once supply>demand, prices will come back to what they should be.I still price all my v6 stuff for about a 20-35% profit(price doesn't include failures). But yeah, books have become scarce, and the ones I do find are about double of what I was paying a month ago.Hopefully as soon as everyone has their fill of the new toys, the supply of books will refill as well.

Now lets think about this. 50k for a chair that has no use to your character but to sit on. This may be "cheap" for some servers but it still doesnt change the fact that it is greed.
I also notice some of the "newer" equips have worse stats than some of the older ones. So who is really losing here?
Gemini however doesnt charge that much for the new equips. Some of the new wands are only dare I say a mere 400k. (However this is still alot for me XD) If you just wait it will all go down it always does. And I dont think the equips are going to run anywhere^^

That actually makes sense, given that on Sagitta people were charging 3k for a White Sheepskin, and the bigger sofa needs 10 of them.

I find it to be greed, supply, and demand - It's new. It's shiny. Just came out. You want it NOW. You "need" it NOW. (Demand goes up, supply goes down, price goes up.) Everyone has one. Now some find it old and some need it more than ever cause it's popular. The smart ones make it themselves cause the price has gone through the roof. (Demand goes down, supply goes up, price goes down.) Now everyone's got spares cause no one wants to buy. So sell it. Eventually, someone always buys it. So you up the price a bit. You continue this until it gets way too expensive. But those who have an extra but don't know the price? They follow you. Yay, you just made something really expensive. And any given material used to make it that used to go for 10g is now 100g each. Yippee!
