I'm looking for places to train cheaply. By that, I mean places where mobs inflict low damage relative to the food they drop, while still providing at least reasonable experience. Being on a budget, I'm not using an e.control, and extended manual bursting is out of the question. Besides, bursting would be a huge SP drain, so much so that I'd need to stop frequently to make more grape syrup, if that were even enough. As an Earth, my skills run to 200+ SP per monster while bursting, which can drain me in a single mob. I'm looking for pure HP training, without time-outs for syrup making or buying!

For beginners, the first place would be Kelan Woods, where tree demons drop apples along with wood. You might need to sit to heal, but doing so just about guarantees you will always have more HP food than you need.
Then there's the Chicken Farm-- very well known, and Kama Cave.

You can move on to Beetles, first the ones on the path to Holy or the Seniors to the north of South Island, then the ones in the Beetle Den, moving deeper as you level up.

Cirrus only drop SP food, so they are just a brief stop if you're training on a budget. There aren't many sheep, but they're OK. You have to sit and share those, there aren't enough to go around. You'll probably get more exp from walking in beetle den, until it dries up in the 30s.

Now you're in a dry spot; You can keep sitting there with sheep, but it's slow going. Oslya is still too hazardous to solo until about the mid 50s. There's an Ice Cave way to the south, if you can get there.

Anything else to fill this gap?

Eventually, you can start hunting 'Raptors in Oslya. They drop nice big juicy HP meats: Beef, Pork, Lamb, Sea Snake, Roo, Chicken, Goose, and Duck, as well as Ostrich and Snake to supplement your SP.

As the exp. from them starts to drop off, where to go? The cows in India can kick pretty hard, and the snakes there are still deadly. Pandas and Orangs don't drop much you can eat. I spent a long time in Cairo, killing Pigs in the Leopard Feedlot. In mobs of 2, 2+1, or 1+1+1, they were easy enough dropping lots of veg and some pork, but the ones in Maya are another story, with mobs of 5 (or more?).

Now the pigs are getting too small. I'm in the low 90s (92 as I write this), and I need to move on. Looking through the list, I see Mammoth, Aurochs, Tiger, some ghosts... I know some of these hit hard, the skeleton-types at ghost isle (or whatever it is, up north?) are especially hazardous, with mess, shields, and more. Is there anything better than... looks like... tigers?

best bet is to try it out yourself for a bit. most people are bursting at those lvls. not very many will actually spend the time training slowly like you have. I do applaude you for getting to a high lvl bursting. That's very cool. If you know what lvls you were in the places you were training I think you could make this like a guide to show people where to train without bursting and how long it to you to get where you are now.

what about going to a new place even if the monsters hit hard but make your spawn point to the villiage there then walk to the place you want to train at. When you run out of food then spawn to starter beach, build a boat, go to osyla and fight the raptors till you have a good stock of food then spawn to the villiage and go back to your spot to train. it will be kind of tiresome but I do that with my lvl 30 alts on libra. I take them to the beetles to get fruit and compound them to juice. Then when I have enough I go fight with the cirrus or sheep. And when I run out I just go back to the beetles again.

Nah, that's available here, too. I've tried tigers-- they're rather irregular, a mob varies from 1 (only about 54 exp) to 4 (can kill me with unlucky hits) while sitting in one spot. There's a Half Beast Ghost at the back of the Ghost Isle cave that is better, but it still costs food there.

The benefit of slow training, if there is one, is that my favored pet is just as high level as I am, and several others are at about half my level.

@Ret3

It's all about match-ups mate...

Make sure you can handle the damage of the enemy you want to train to, that gives decent EXP and easy to kill.

It's all about, location, location, location.

Well, that's what I'm looking for: Locations, locations, locations. The perfect location would have wimpy non-magic-using lv 110 1+1+1 mob spawns.

I kinda doubt they exist. I'll tell anyone getting bored with Raptors that a mob of lv 71/72 Pigs like that is waiting for you just inside the pig door of leopard feedlot in Cairo. Look for the blue one. I'm done with it now.

ret3 you should make a little guide of sorts. With places you trained and what monsters, what lvls you trained there and if you know approximately how long you were there training that would help too. Most people are bursting but I believe there are some people who would like to train with a regular remote instead of burst so it might be helpful to some people ^^
Just a thought
