I managed to get a laptop for wlo but it has vista. On the main site it sais "do not install on drive C if u use Vista". And this one doesn't have another partition except C. What can I do?

go ahead and install its not an issue, its works fine on vista

I have a Vista too, I'm pretty sure that they meant just not to install it somewhere wrong accidently, so I just stashed it in Program Files, it works fine, as long as its a legit folder. Oh yea, and I'm new here.

i also installed wlo client on my mom pc (VISTA)
and it work pretty well ^^

i have vista and plays WLO Cancer server ~ Clitar
if you put it in C drive i think you have to run it as administrator in order to update the client

it dosent matter vista or XP u need to be admin to update(i duno about playing cus i always use admin account)

=> this is with all default setting

may be u can change that fact if u play with file permissions on ur NTFS file system

also i contacted live support and installing on vista is not and issue at all, when i asked the reason why website says not to, the guy in live support gave me a funny reason. According to him its to prevent any loss of "game" data if u format ur computer and reinstall windows

thats funny because in XP also u wud lose game data if u format ur pc XD( if game is installed on C drive, which issame as windows drive by deafult)

SO just dont worry abt this XP or vista issue, just install and play XD

Vista with certain games actually requires about twice the normal requirements to play.

so if your game requires 512 mb ram to play on vista it'd require 1gb Don't ask me why but that seems to be the case with many games... it might apply to WLO also as I notice I can only play about 3-4 windows without lagging despite my vista laptop being about 4 times more capable than my xp desktop which can play 2 windows without much problem.

vista sucks... lol, it's more for show than performence, and it's only good on higher end computers... it's so much slower than XP lol

Ah something I noticed with vista or at least my lappy's settings is that it won't automatically update WLO. It'll download the updates but I can't play the game unless I download them manually from the site.

I have Vista and I installed it on C drive. Seems to work fine to me.
