I bought a demon jade stone, a vertical wing, and an Alchemy Book 3
compound it together

and this is what I got:

thought I would get a R27 Evening Wear?

I've never seen minus result when using alchemy book in this entire WLODB, or I just did something wrong?

Nah, you did everything right.

Books can always fail. It's just not terribly likely. I've failed plenty of compounds that involved books, I just don't post them because it's a risk you take.

Here's a compound I did a while ago where a book1 failed:

I was trying to make Power Armor but it failed down. Evening Wear is a jump6 with a book3, so it's possible you didn't get the jump3 you needed... very possible. Just a risk you take with alchemy, it's never 100%.

if only I knew alchemy books can fail.. I would prefer buying the already made evening wear for only 90-100k >.<

that book 3 cost me 45k, demon jade stone 5k, so I just lost 50k in less than seconds >.<

btw I'm in Cancer hehehe..

Ah... yeah. Sometimes it's easier and cheaper to buy the product pre-made. If you're confident, normally it's not.

well great news!
I bought another 5 sets, compound them all, and finally got my evening wears!

so today I get 4 evening wears out of 6 attempts.
2 for my chars and 2 for my pets. pheew.. not bad huh ^O^

oh yes this time I use Junior (lv.4) instead of Primary (lv.8)

I thought you need Primary level 10 to get junior level 1?
Is it a lower requirement? Anyways, I always use junior for any rank 9+ compound, even a failure is a potential success.

You can get Junior anytime after you get Primary, regardless of the lvl of your Primary alchemy.
