1) Junior can do higher jumps, has a better succes rate => it can do more advanced compounds. Same goes to superior compared to junior, can do higher jumps => has a better succes rate => it can do more advanced compounds.
You CAN NOT do +5 jumps. Correct me if i'm wrong, but.. (WITHOUT BOOKS)

2) Not always, you can do more advanced stuff with junior

3) The number is the jump. - is if it downgrades, + is if it succeds and ranks up. As I said, the number is the jump and it can vary from -9 (I think?) to +8 (with books). Without books it goes till +4 but it's pretty hard to get it.

4) I am not sure, but I think the higher rank gives more exp. From the guide you read you should know about ranks so xD.

5) Yes it does (even if it doesn't help with jumps .-.).
