I still have mine from...ehh....3 years or so ago. One tip when catching it though, if you catch the flower, it's the same thing as defeating it so technically the quest would end when you catch the big flower. However, since there are 2 earth flowers assisting the flower, you can just simply catch the big flower first and then run and repeat x amount of times. I would recommend everyone to finish it though, 15% exp is quite nice.
