We burst all the time together, and our main problem was getting the fires (my accounts) to hit at the same time since I don't have 0 spd for 2 of my fires so I have to try to get them all even speed. BUT I used your technique, the one I just mentioned (earth sub as water) and I get good exp EVEN IF ONLY ONE FIRE ATTACKS! It's amazing! thanks so much for taking your time in making this guide and testing it out. c: It works great! Now I can have an easier time bursting without the weights.
