The main site says how to aquire the life-skills (fishing, collecting, mining) What do they DO? I can't seem to find anywhere where I can see what benefits I get from having, say, level 4 mining versus not having a mining level at all.

well they help u get higher chances of getting the better item
example:higher fishing skill=higher chance of getting the good stuff while fishing whereas higher mining skill=higher chance of getting the good stuff from mining and so on.

As Ace mentioned.

Higher the lvl, the higher chance you get of an item as well as more you get too. like getting 1 every 5 min compare to getting 5 every 5 min.

example you are collecting black jade.
in an hour with non-under lvl 5 mining skill you "may" get
9 red, 7 white, 3 water, 4 purple, 1 black

where as if you prolly have lvl 20 or somthing like that
in an hour you may get
20red, 23 white, 15 water, 18 purple, 17black

helps a lot when you are collecting hard to get stuff like bluestone and white silvery.

never knew these skills are that much help.

From what I understand, as your Fishing, Collection, Cutting, and Mining Life Skills level up, you're able to collect, for example,
"Black Jade x5 Quantity" instead of just 1 quantity every few minutes.

(Vacuum Cleaner auto-collects every 5 minutes.)

On a side note. Anyone ever notice that the Fishing Life Skill is actually named Primary Fishing? I don't imagine we'll ever see
Junior Fishing or Superior Fishing.

I cannot confirm it 100% but i think the junior and senior alchemy may be in the asian version

but what i CAN confirm is that just like advanced remote and advanced vacuums they also sell advanced fishing rods in asian IM, allowing you to fish faster and also get more stuff can go up to getting 10 items at a time. Also in diffrent areas you fish in its possible to get IM items like fun tokens and exp pots. (but this also is just the asian version. many has fished around the world and still has yet to get tokens and IMs but who knows maybe its cause no one stayed long enough in an area or were always full after 30 min to get anything of interest in our version)

Hmm.. i wish our wlo would catch up to the asian version.. fishing IM's would interest players and might even attract more people plus the exp pots would sure come in handy :3

lol yea. they even sell exp caps in their mall *cries*. most people in asian version practically make their living off fishing and their IM is already kindda so cheap. (you may not think it due to the currency exchage what's expensive to you is cheap to someone else, and vice versa). they fish more there than we do here, i noticed that about a lotta asian made games. they implement "fishing" in a lot of their games.
