STEP 01:
Get 50 lauan wood

STEP 02:
Cut them in 2 pieces with your stone knife

Result = You now have 100 cut lauan wood

STEP 03:
Use your saw to make Small wooden gears from those 100 cut lauan wood, and since you get 3 wooden gears for each cut lauan wood, this will result in: 3x100 = 300 small wooden gears!

STEP 04:
Compound small wooden gear + small wooden gear

STEP 05:
Repeat "STEP 04" 150 times

RESULT:
Alchemy lvl will rise!

Is it really that hard to understand ?
If yes, I'm sorry, but I can't see how I can explain it even simpler.
