The fastest way to get seeds are battling with chickens in the chicken farm (North Island).
Be sure you can always have combo with your pet, then you will get 2 seeds every time when you killed together on 1 mob. You can get this to have about same speed as your pet.

From chickens you will get 4 kind of seeds: cantaloupe, pear, apple and graph seeds. Only mango seeds are not there.

I never meet a mob who can drop mango seeds, so you can better to get them with compounding. The recipe is basically for changing of seeds: seed + anything.

For example: 50 Apple Seed + 50 Organic Muck --SYNTHESIS--> 50 Mango Seed
But you can also get 50 Pear Seed, 50 Graph Seed, 50 Cantaloupe Seed or even 50 Apple Seed from here, so the success rate is not 100%, but 20%, so keep that in your mind.

Mostly I use organic muck as second product, because they are the easiest items that I can get. Actually, you can really use anything as second product. So coprinuses, rices and barleys, which you commonly get from chickens, are also good as second products. I want put the recipes for seeds in the compound list, but it would be too long.
