Ive been using another type of way to level my alchemies. It costs more time, but I've seen extremely good results in the higher levels. What I did was gather Wolf teeth from South Pole, and small wooden gears. I compounded 1 wolf tooth over 1 small wooden gear. Its not very useful in the lower levels, but it makes things go alot faster in the highers. Atleast it did for me.
