Just like any pet if you fight monsters what is it 18+ or 19+ higher than her her gun will break.

I have trained many Elins now on my alts. Stick her in the chicken farm with the belly chain from lv1 1-27 The points are low the higher she gest but she gets about 4 battles per minute so that makes up sitting in an area waiting for a battle. Then get her gun and plop her down in the sheep area or anyother area that fits that lv for her.
