It lets you make 50 OUTPUT items at once (or nearest whole number less then 50). You can only select 25 ordinary wood to go to firewood at once since you create 50 firewood. As for the case of making gas from firewood, you can only select 16 firewood to use at a time giving you 48 gas each time (since 51 would be more than 1 stack).

The fruit/turf system is an exception to this rule, as it bases its calculations on you not having the parterre, fence, and french window, so you would have a total of 50 output without them, but 200 output with them.

The other exception is furniture, as things that you drop onto the ground, that take up more than one slot, or that are not stackable in your inventory can only be produced one at a time, the way it was in V2.
