I found this on the official forum:
method 1 was to compound wolf teeth/beast bones over and over
method 2... recycle wolf teeth (best in maybe batches of 5 -10, more chances of getting the bone that way)
method 3... recycle bear king claw/claw/bird claw... this seemed to work pretty well
