even making one costs around 1.5k, not counting failures

Those bows are very easy to compound. I suggest do it alone, since ingredients cost 1340g.

if you got one for 500g, then the seller forgot one or two zeroes, it was already breaking, or you were just lucky.

if you have at least Jr Alchemy, you could try doing it yourself as Khunda said.
