Niss DOES take longer at higher levels, if you don't have the means to do it well. She can't just go to trolls/tree's at higher levels and be expected to survive, so most people end up going to lower areas so they can wear HP equip which is slow.

Niss might be strong because of her skills, but if she even survives 1 round before someone pokes her and she's dead. The only REALLY good Niss are the IM spammed ones because if not: they're usually slow as hell and die first and it's just HOPING that she gets 1 hit in. Fred is just as strong, except often has a bunch more HP.

For general use I'm still going to side with Fred, because they can still sometimes be used in quest and pk. Because how many non-spammed Niss do you see used by people in like DS/JS compared to Fred? I sure as hell never seen one.

nobody is f***ing "easier" to train unless its a burstable pet compared to a non-burstable pet. and dont you f***ing have eyes? read waht i said! NO PET IS BETTER THAN ANY OTHER! its all on how you train and strategy. like who you like. i prefer joan ver fred. dont tell me im wrong every pet is equally as strong thinking about it.

The point is, in any difficult quests, without being IM spammed, she's just waiting to be poked once and dead. Fred however is generally much better since he tends to add more CON.

Mecury, about tends - my Niss keeps adding so much CON, I'm thinking about scrolling it into INT, because I'm worried she'll get sucky MATK (she's only 61 lv though). So from my experience I'd say that it's more based on luck, than on a pet.

Firstly, I don't respond well when people insult me & my friend like he did over on chat :) I'll come down on him like hell, I don't care how I look, I'm just going to do it.

Exactly, we're talking in general, aren't we? Unless the poster wanted to specify anything more than what they did (gonna be IM spammed?, specific build preferred?), that's all we can do. Generalize.

You're lucky on that Niss, to have it be a bit easier to train, but that's just it, luck. An average Fred will start off with a bit of CON,
and Niss will start off with what, 0-3? and it seems normal for them to have even just 10-20 CON before RB (in general. my friend's were both under 5 CON at 100). and the point I was making towards Niss/Fred is that it does in fact make Fred easier to train (again based on the average)

Back to Joan & Fred, if you are in fact going to scroll it, it's still going to suck hard (in comparison to Fred) because of the 1st point I made. If you get super lucky with it and it follows the build you like eg CON tank, then congratulations but it's not changing the fact that it's the giant load of points away from what a Fred could be. Maybe he built every single one of his points into the CON and so did Joan, so in the end any Fred trained for as long as a Joan will have much more points because of 1 single thing, she can't RB yet with not even a rumor mentioning it.

He's only defending Joan as he said because he likes her, not because there's a genuine argument for her against Fred. Just because he likes her and her story. So then why argue it?
