Joan is a good strong pet. im not sure if stronger than fred. but yea if you actually train joan shes strong. really strong. mine is STR based, 2nd is con and 3rd is agi. so really it depends waht you need. Pk or Quest. Questing, Joan is better, PK fred is better. so waht if fred has RB. it depends if you give a ratsass to actually TRAIN them. if you only get fred and train to lv 50 then get joan cause shes better at lv 50. if you actually want to train fred to 150+ and get RB and actually TRAIN HIM AFTER REBORN, get him then. If your gonna get Joan to lv 150 shes better.

Look at it also from a stand point.

Fire lv 81 RB JS -> Fred

Fred=dead.

Fire cant DS joan bcause shes water.

Fire 81 RB killer JS -> Joan

Joan=likley to survive IF trained properly.

My joan is lv 22 right now.

I have trained mine to around 50, and have her on all of my characters. If you get to 100, you're not going to get much further at all because of how slow it starts to get, but even if you do, it's not going to get much better.

Yes, she has strong base stats (fred does too), but she's just like a slightly better water vic that can't burst and, as far as anyone can see, doesn't get a RB.

If she did get RB, I wouldn't hesitate lvling her. But just think, get her to 100-120, maybe even higher if you're dedicated. but then levels are just going to be soooooooo slow, while at the point she may only have 1k-1.2k HP and not enough attack to cause any significant damage compared to other pets. Missing those +127~ points & the easy rb level ups is just too much, really.

Your example seem's pretty silly comparing fire killer against Fred but then against Joan as water.
My killer would do 2.3k+ on her with JS no seals or anything, my Roca would probably do 1.5k+ with tulwar no hf, and 1 hit her. And that's just with fires.

And on the other hand, what is she going to do? Maybe couple hundred damage in return? Sure more with high lvl & brooch etc, but not enough to be better than a high lvl brooched Fred in the end, or even come close.

They 2 stronger but fred more i think xDD becuz he cool fred and im go rb him *~*

Yep, many good CON & INT Freds out there. I would never use a Joan over any of my RB pets in hard quest, unless it's only purpose was to defend and die in 1 or 2 hits.

And joan when she will get rb fred will be lvl 190rb in this time -_-

fred vs joan if they both are same lvl with same equips, joan will win cuz shees water str type and fred is fire with more mdef thn def.

but in the long run,as mercury said fred will be more usefull. like u train joan on 1 char and fred on other for some months 2gether, Joan will be 120-130 or max 150 non rb where as fred can rb at 100 and be like 60+rb minimum in the same time.

60rb fred is like 159 non rb but with the Special rb skill and stats boost which joan cant have. so unless they release joan rb( i dunno if they will xD), fred is 100% better then her.

At an even match (lets say both lvl 50) I'd put my money on Joan to win.

What the others are saying is that because Joan can't be reborn is the reason she is "weaker" than Fred.

It will come to a point where leveling Joan past a certain lvl will be very difficult, whereas Fred you can rb him at 100, get his reborn boost and continue to lvl him after. So he will have more stats than Joan in a much faster time.

AGAIN. i dont think she/he wanna make for example a lvl 50 pet :o rb pets BETTER that non rb ones. and yeah easier train a lvl 1fred than a lvl 100 or 101 joan :o look fred: easier to get than joan. he become MORE powerful than joan ever can. if u make lvl 199 joan and 199fred u can rb fred and make better THAN THAT JOAN. she never ll be as powerful as fred. but why do u 'protect' joan? he/she ll chose which pet he/she wants x"3 and ok. ur joan can be a good meatshield. but nothing more. -P and i dun think she/he want to train for example lvl 50pet j- .... or 150 or whatever. lvl 150fred-->rb him-> rb 51-> easier to train than joan. get new powerful skill not like joan. get rb boost not like joan. lol. well thats all for u :3

To sum up:
Right now, Fred's much better than Joan. But, if Joan's RB ever comes out, then you can compare those two being fair.

Niss well train her when she got con:1 like that -idiot- xao... -___- but niss harder cuz u cant burst her so.... i should make that fred... and sry but fred got more good points than joan... she ll be good when he get rb. but i cant image how ll she die if u helped her escape from that bonfire shiit.... then answer me. ^___________^

Well, Niss was saved from bonfire but died anyway. Joan migh burn again, if developers want her to. ANd I'm pretty sure, every pet would have RB, if they didn't focus on Norn Saber.

Niss is stronger than fred hands down. fred isnt the strongest pet in game. have a fred vs a same lv niss with same EQ. i seen it happen alot all the time at trojan war. 98% of the time the niss won even lower level than fred

A LOT of ppl train niss have you ever even took your head out of your asscrack?

Why not train both fred and joan? have 2 alts and train both together.
