Well rebirth is pretty straight forward; once you're lvl 100 minimum you can get reborn, when you have done the quest/fight you can choose your class (Killer, Knight, Warrior, Wit, Seer, Priest), and you will lose 100 levels and get one lvl free :) (you will still keep your stats) just making it easier to lvl again and recieving a cape with stats according to class.

Stats on Capes;
Killer - Atk
Knight - Spd
Warrior - Def
Wit - Matk
Seer - Spd
Priest - mdef

Depending whether you have more str or int will depend what you can choose (str - killer,warrior,knight)
(int - wit,seer,priest)

The information Saturn has given is almost perfect, only that you only go back by 99 Levels, or lose 99 levels, Not 100!
If your Strength is higher than your Intelligence, Than you will have Killer/Warrior/Knight as choices, If its the other way around , Wit/Seer/Priest.
Also, You will get special attributes , First of all, All classes give out 10% of your base Atk/Def/Spd/Matk/Mdef , Knight's special attribute is when you ride a pet, You get 1/6 of its spd, If that pet is saddled, than 1/2 ^^
Priests get a natural physical defence boost, so can say they are similar to a Warrior only Matk based :P

only that you only go back by 99 Levels, or lose 99 levels

After reborn, you receive 3 more stat points, that comes from the extra level. As on the placing board, Lv 90RB > Lv 190. (90RB - 189 levels discounting the extra level)

Absolutely better. An explanation I didn't get when I mentioned the LCD levels recently.

Actually it is -100 lvls!! lol <.< Is your current level minus 100 plus one lvl added. Let me explain for those who doesn't understands.

When you reborn, lets use as example a lvl 180. When a lvl 180 Reborn the level goes automatically minus 100:

0180
-100

0080

THen they add a level as Compensation.

0180
-100

0080
0+01
_____
0081

Why isn't 99? Is Elemental my dear Watson :P if it were minus 99 levels, then people can do their RB at LvL99. And a Lvl 100 can be lvl 2 after Reborn cause 100-99=1+1=2 :D Got it? GOOD LUCK!

You said you first go back by 100 Levels, but if you are level 100, there is no possibility that you will go 100 levels, since that will mean you will defult to Level 0, which is inconsistent to the game itself.
By all means, 99 lvls, RB is the level up >.>

No man that`s why i posted the example of the lvl 100. Remember that there is always a lvl Compensation. If its a lvl 100 it will be minus 100 levels, that`s why there comes a lvl compensation cause you can't be lvl 0. So if its were just -99 there won't be such thing as the LVL COMPENSATION, cause you will be always lvl 1 or more after Reborn. So in this case if it minus 99 lvls will be like this example:

Then the lvl Compensation

0+1
---
002

THat`s why it can't be munis 99.

WHy it proves is minus 100 lvl. Here is an example:

Then the level compensation:

Reborn means u loose 99 lvls (not 100, and gosh whats with all that math >.<)...
If your STR<INT then u can be:
priest
wit
seer
But if your STR>INT then u can be:
warrior
killer
knight

Priests cape give mdef, and if im mistaken pls kick my butt. Their sets Give mdef matk and some spd (again, kick my butt if im wrong)

Wits cape give matk, their sets give mdef and matk (and yet again kick my butt if im wrong, and this applies to everything i say XD)

Seers cape give spd, their sets give spd and matk

Warriors cape gives def, their sets giving atk and def

Killers cape gives atk, their sets giving atk and spd

Knights cape give spd, their sets giving spd and def

The INT<STR are warrior types jobs, and INT>STR types are mages jobs

If a level 185 RBs, he becomes level 86. You can see here that that would put him ahead of anyone level 186.
So, he must have gained a level. That gained level is part of the process that lowers his level by 99.
Also, he got 3 points to distribute, indicating a gained level. Therefore it makes sense to say that he lost 100 levels, then gained 1.

Lol Sorry man i was just trying to explain. Actually, both answers are correct, but the one who get closer is =100 lvl's. If it were -99 example: 190-99=91 +the 3 points. It can be for those who doesn't like to go deeper in explains. And the other is already told. Also i made a research on the main page and unfortunately is -99 said by an official. But i will try to contact them cause I'm still having my thoughts. Yes, most are true but, The best thing is to be a high lvl100+ dont get a rebirth at lvl130- because the Cape goes to ur lvl & its good for a high lvl Cape! Thats my advice other wise check this page out on everything about a rebirth {Almost ;) }
