I am a fire mage.
I have balanced my stats to give me enough int for all of my magical attacks, just enough wisom to give me assistant skills slowdown, poison, and fiery attack, along with a few more points to have enough SP for buff/debuff training.
My stats at lvl 40 are shown in my (current) avatar to the left, at lvl 49 they are now...
str 2
con 38
int 86
wis 23
agi 0

For gear, I try to use as much MATK gear as I can, no IM gear.
So, I don't knwo if I should add con, int, or wis.
I intend to burst train for quite a long time, so don't see need for con or wis. but I'm wondering if there's a point where I might regret adding too much int.

Basic ideas of how to make a kicka$$ mage without IM help...

-1.6 k hp/ 2 k hp
-42 WIS for Mess
-INT as much as possible. Try to get rid off the 2 STR points. Never bother adding AGI unless you want it a support type(such as a Mess/ HF "machine".

hmm, kickess mage? xD I love mage chars, and I agree with Alxyz just 1 point, I would add more con... 150 con would mean 2.6k hp around lvl 180, cause you're gona be slow as hell, if have that low hp, mobs and others gona kill you without hf and with 1 single blow... guess you don't want that:P 0 agi is good ^^ and add as much INT as much you can ^^ Hight INT mages hard to seal and they are deadly.

yeh XD my char is a fire mage ^_~ i'm in the procces of gething 5k hp =O lmao cos my damage is already deadly XD & i need tht much cos i like 2 solo alot =) but yeh since u gona b a super damager i ecomend alot of int & con ^^ try gething 120 con atm XD that wil gie u 2k hp soon then all int ^^ worry abut gething more on offer Reborn or spd w.e u want

So, if I add int for next 20 levels or so while I am bursting all my EXP, I wont regret having a real high int later?

I agree with having a good con, but will wait till I'm done bursting on lvl 12 chickens to start raising that, lol. When I do start adding con, 120 will be a good amount? will that be a reasonable amount for high levels like 180+? What level range should I consider 120 con to be good enough?

I'm not familiar with the other assist spells a fire character has, free from coma, mess spell, and fire attack. I guess free from coma will undo a coma spell and mess spell must make the opponent miss turns. Fire attack sounds a lot like fiery attack to me.

well well, 120 con is well enough and you don't have to put more anymore, I have actually 160 con and I will never raise it again. I am good with 2.8k hp naked. Also if your hp is low you can use IM weapons and equips to raise it. And I can say you will never regret adding INT. you can't add too much INT xDDDD

about assistant skills, yes free from coma is there to undo coma, but actually useless. About mess spell, I highly suggest you to get it. If you mess your enemie, it will randomly poke your team, or his own allies, I really like it, and the last assistant skill is useless, no meaning in getting it, is kinda the same as fiery attack ^^ No need for it, so I suggest you to add only 42 wis to get mess spell, it's usefull or, if you don't want, then train eva, she has it, just her builds are all low con.

Sophieka... that sounds good, 42 wisdom to get mess and add to my SP at the same time. I'm gonna try looking up that fire attack and see if I can find out exactly what it does and see if its much stronger then fiery attack.

For the time being, I hit lvl 50 tonight and can equip my shadow pestle, so now I'm bursting. So it's going to be INT for a while, no need to add any more HP or SP just to burst on lvl 11 chickens. :)

EDIT: Found out that fiery attack (when maxed) will add a 50% damage increase to my fire damage, Fire attack (when maxed) will add a 100% bdamage increase. The reason Fire Attack is now useless is because of GS HotFire. That adds 200% damage increase to fire attacks. On the other hand though, the ice pack can negate that HotFire bonus but from what I read does not negate the fiery/fire atack bonus. I guess if you're a fire melee fighter who's serious about pk play, then having the spell would be beneficial.
I'm gonna pass on it and hope to get my GS soon.

42 wis, 120-160 con (2.2-2.7k hp no +hp items or springs), rest int. Try getting pure matk gears, nothing other then pure matk gears, unless you need to drop your speeed down for burst.

Three ways you could build... Go either pure wis until 42 wis, or pure int untill its about 200ish which should give nice damage base at the low level 100's area, or go 1:1:1 int/con/wis. Really how you build is up to you and matters if you want more damage up front in early levels or more sp.

I got 136 CON on my fire RB melee which gave her 2367 HP. And she got no trouble with dieing in instances or some quests. So no need to focus now with CON, think of that later. I am sure you'd never regret having a high INT in the future.

con for wind? No need, even with con you will end up dead xDD I suggest maximum 90 con, no more xD and maybe 90 con is too much:D
