If you compound high rank things, it gives no more profiency than compounding 2 low rank things together, it is the number of times of successful compound that counts. So just train as normal, and you will get lots of items from enemies. Just compound them together 1 by 1, randomly. Sometimes you get good things, sometimes you dont, but as long as they are successful, your alchemy lvl will slowly goes up.

If you train at cirrus, you can recycle the vine grass and get some straw mushrooms. Compound 1 straw mushroom with 1 turpentine, this would give you tomato juice in most cases, tomato juice Sp +150!!!

is rank 1 thing is a high rank?????

no, rank 0 is the lowest rank for anything (organic muck)... -.-lll
however, rank 1 is the high at all

Rank 0 is the lowest possible rank actually...

The current highest rank an item has in our version is 50 I think.

Anything compoundable. Just compound items that dont heal, or heal very little. (generally things plentible)

aiman ...this is wad i usually do when after i lvling at pine...
i compound all my vine grass 1 by 1
vine grass + vine grass
paper grass + paper grass
vine shoe + vine shoe
grass boots + grass boots
and so on....till i get snow grass or fireboots...
if not,i always compound the same thing ... 1 by 1...
for lvl 10...1 stack of vine grass give u proficiency around 1 or 2 ==
so u need a lot of grass

or u can do like wad Rawrness does...
bought 1 stack of lauan,cut it into half,make small wooden gear ...
1 lauan wood = 3 small gear...
compound all the gear 1 by 1...

what you can compound? Junk, anything you dont want, compound every bit of junk you have 1 by 1, and just like lvling, this takes time, and just keep doing it.

You can compound Barley from chickens.

Barley + Barley = Steamed Bun or Flour
Steamed Bun + Steamed bun = Steamed bun or flour or Noodles.

Flour + steamed bun or barley = Noodles.

^ not 100% but if you do that you can do compounding + get noodles which can be used to make Meats Noodles when you get a glaze table (+800 HP)

its better to compound small gear and lauan wood..or any wood..
it'll be a great help to upgrade the level of your alchemy..thats what i did..before having a descent alchemy level:)

Pretty much anything is usable. I just fish a lot, and do compounding with that often. Also, I sometimes will fight monsters that give grass like cirrus' so I can try to get high level grass. :D (Also, dragonflies work I think.)
