I just wanted to know if this would relay work and if so what are the success rates?

Well since it's primary alchemy, I'd have to say the chances are fairly half and half, that is if your alchemy is at least lvl 5.

I used superior alchemy to make my feather boots with what I believe is the same exact formula, if I remember correctly it worked the first time and on my second time failed. At the time my superior was around level 7.

Yes that should work need about 5-10 or higher, but it's best to choose senior if you have it. Reason why is because the base (purple) is rank 30 while the other two (nether and formal are rank 29) so using it on senior works better because you already have a good start on the base jump that senior gives you.

If not get Junior and lvl it up a bit to 5 or higher. Its not hard to get at all compared to senior.

Nothing is 100% i always use a 3-5 ratio. Meaning if i have enough material i try making 3 or 5 of the same things that way even if 2-4 fails i get 1 or if i'm lucky i may get all, or all may fail.. since alchemy can be creul like that. So try making 2 or more of a product. If it succeeds then it's yours to keep. If you are lucky and happen to get extra then just give it to an alt or sell it. And remember even if you fail its never a fail. You can use the "fail" to try and rank up and make it again or you can keep the "fail" to wear or use for another recipe or just sell it.

Not everyone recognizes the term "senior", it would be best if you used the proper term for the skill.

=.= whats so hard about using a world like: primary, junior, senior or
elementary, intermediate and advanced. It seems obvious on its on what it is already.

If i recall correctly don't you guys in virgo use "pm" for whisper when pm means mail in most other servers?

So, i'm sure some people can secognize what senior means when its talking about alchemy already in the same topic. Anyone can put 2 and 2 together. also what exactly make superior so "superior"? =.= but for you and to the others that may be confused as to the differences in the words i'll try and remember to use that word next time and from now on, since its what is used in game.

Regardless of you explaining that the fact still remains that what you use in one server is not the same for all (you can say i'm contradicting myself, thats on you no one cares). Its the speech we grow up with playing the game and though it may not adapt to all some are obvious on its own already as to its meaning like i can use senior or you use pm. My point is what diffrence does it make? I can't tell you to use wp or wpm or whisper when you tell me it should be pm and its what you are used to. Nor can you tell me it should be superior when i use senior. Or you tell a person its shoud be cell phone when some uses mobile. Tomayto-tomahto.

But whatever floats your boat, I was only pointing out that the fact you use "senior" might confuse people while my server's definition of "pm" is something more closely related to private mail than senior is to superior.

Anyways back on topic. You should always try to go for the highest level of alchemy when you are compounding, that is unless it is a low-rank item and your alchemy is too high to where it would "over compound" which in that case you'd use lower ranking alchemy like primary or junior. Feather boots should always be able to successful with a decent level of superior alchemy. A better rate with it, I'd advise you not to try it though unless you have at least junior to level 6.

I wouldn't say 100%.Anything has a possibility to fail, even with lvl 30 superior you could fail though it may have a low chance most likely to be deemed as high chance of success rate instead of a specific percentage.
