sheep @ 48lvl? Gimme a break :)

Beeing you I'd get some good equipment for your level, a decent pet and I would hit the 3rd (or 4th, I don't quite remember) cave in oslya. Full of velociraptors. Reaally good exp. And they're quite easy- even tough they combo often, they don't hit much stronger than squirrel's skill.
If your pet is somewhat equal to you in level, equip it with Belly Chain Necklace or Tim's Leash, and be sure to have a good HP on yourself too (500+).
You'll need food. LOTS of it. Apple syrups or something like that. Both for HP and SP, because without burst you'll need to skill-kill mobs.
If you have lots of food, equip another pet with defense saddle. That's always a bit more defense.
If you have less food choose the comfortable saddle. That's always a bit less food used.
And best for you: try to party. 2 players. Max 3, no more.
Set the remote to healing, moving. Remember to set food usage from slots 15+ or 21+ or higher. This way you'll keep all the meat from raptors, and in future you could turn it into good food in the gas kitchen.

Just don't overfeed it, don't make it wishy-washy and you'll be a good responsible Signature Keeper :]
