I heard rumors if you level alchemies your chance to success gets down. is it true?

They say the best way to get Goblin Halberds is w/ Primary 5-7. I don't honestly know why...

Each level gives a higher % chance of getting a higher rank item. So you have to look at it through that perspective. If you want a jump2 and you get a jump3, then technically you failed, even though you got a higher rank item. If that's how you look at it, then you will want to have a lower level alchemy.

However, if you want a higher chance of making that bookless jump3/4 then I'd suggest... you raise your alchemy lvl.

Are your problem is, you have item with higher rank than in formula?
if thats true then wich one have higher rank?
if the base item is higher than secondary/tertiary, i suggest use junior/senior.
if the secondary/tertiary items are higher than base, you have no other choice except primary alc.

dont be afraid using different (higher) item,as long they are same class.
who knows you can create new formula,
its just game of base,rank and...luck ^^

They don't necessarily "require" lower level alch, it just has a higher success rate. A prime example is the Goblin Halberd. I have a hell of a time making it with my alch lvl... normally spending more than 15k trying... so I just buy them.

There are other items like that, just not sure which...

de lv of alchemy absolutely will affect yr compounding result ..

but anyway , LUCK stil being one of de main point of yr result .. =)

for those 50k+ items , u should js buy it from venders rather thn u taking those risks and compound .. =)

I believe that a well founded knowledge base is the main factor in Alchemy... not luck...

Also... to disagree with you further NoMore, it's not terribly risky if you know what you're doing. If you want a 50k+ item, learn how to make it and use the appropriate alchemy. Items over 50k+ often only cost the alchemist 10-20k...

There are plenty of extremely safe formulas for high value items, just read and have experience in Alchemy.

Perhaps it takes -you- 3 tries to make an item where it only takes me 1, in which case, by all means, go ahead and buy it. Sure, I'll even sell it to you. :)

I'm not sure why you are giving compounding advice when you don't ... compound...

'ive seen someone made bronze boots with only lvl 2 primary alch few times in a row

the reason most compunders doesnt have low lvl alch skill is

1. its nice to have higher lvl alch

2. we dont want to complain why do we failed (when alch lvl is low)

3. senior alch need lvl 10 junior which makes u think high lvl primary will b good too if its high

and for nomorefcuk

in libra, sky boot cost around 20-25k

cost for making it ? well i forgot 5-6k

is it 100% ? nope

in 10 compounds prolly i could make 4-6 sky boots

10xcompounds cost 40-60k

4x25k = 100k (and i taking lowest possibility chances of compound success)

and i could also say compounding and sell sell sell

tho its true material seller might be faster to get rich tban compounder seller~

There are plenty of material sellers in Leo but only a very small handful of compounder sellers that sell seriously high lvl stuff.

It's like comparing a used car lot vs. a Jaguar seller.
Used Car Lot will sell more cars, but the Jag seller only needs to sell one or two to make a hefty profit. Just takes time for that one buyer to come along.

(kinda unrelated story but it has the same point.) one day i was sitting around in leo, with nothing to do. so i decided to riffle around through my bank and storeroom junk. and i realized. i have all the junk i need to make a shower from scratch xD so i spent the next 2-3 hours making all the stuff needed to make the things that make a shower. then i went and started to make the shower.. was very boring. but i turned nothing into something :D (Also, i did the exact same thing with my elm bath xD. cept i had to collect a few more blue wild flowers)

don't do what i did, and lock it and forget the combination.. so the next lock i decided to stick with a key. it turns out it fell into my sandwich while i was making it and i ate it... oh i see you sometimes tho not very often o.O
when im bored. i just sit around on sb :P talking to random peeps..that or sit in japans hotspring.
not much to do in leo, 20% of the ppl manu burst. 60% AFK burst.10% are sitting around doing nothing. and the last 10% are doing quests/helping others in quests.. average day in leo. lol

That breakdown is pretty accurate though. Scary... lol.
Stop by my house some time, it's usually pretty quiet and I'm there. I may appear afk but I'm not... if I don't respond, give me a minute. If I don't respond then.... then I'm afk xD

yea i can't really 'afk' when no one is actively on our computer, it has to be shut down... something about my family wanting to lower our power bill. and since my computer and ps3 share the same monitor.... can't do both at once really well.. so everything i have, i've earned it by working hard <3 well -10 lvls because i bursted them (manually) but otherwise, i've worked hard for everything.

and ill stop by when i get the chance :)
