Aliice...
hi there...i cant sure that i can compound lvl36++ eq...but based on my own experience...
i started compound eq when my alchemy lvl at lvl8...and when my alchemy reach lvl 9 or 10...the best eq i compounded was Thorn Pestle(LV48)...
i followed this guide for compounding...hope this will help u ^-^

You can compound level 36 weapon or equipment as long as you are level 36 or higher. It is a law of compound: you can't compound item which has a higher level than your own level.

You just need a luck and I can understand you will always be frustrated by a lot failures. But failures are a proof that your alchemy level is too low. Another law of compound: How higher the alchemy level, how less failures.

So, I advice you to compound a lot and try every time again, until you have the one what you want. It is like playing the slot machine.

uhmmmmmmmmm , anyway. . my alchemy is level 6. and my alt is lvl 31. . the best thing so far i compounded is a steel armor(lvl 56). . i think the rule of compounding is based on RANK and LUCK!!

i have to disagree with u Hugo, this is first time i see some one say that, i see no reason why a we cant compound higher lvl weapons than us(and it is possible, and many people do it)

to compound high lvl weapons here is a very basic tutorial(im not a very experienced compounder, but i hope this helps, also if u find a mistake please tell me)

Note=>Even though this is the basic theory a large part of compounding is random so sometimes u get very useful things even after u mix garbage XD

Compoundin basics
-----------------

=>rank = rank of any weapon/armour is its level divided by 2 (eg = lvl 20 weapon have rank 10)
=>all wep/arm have a base (or primary) material, this is kept in 1st slot when u compound
=>all wep/arm have a secondary material, this is kept in the 2nd slot when u compound

there are 2 common theory about result(not sure whats the correct one)

both theories are very similar

Theory One
---------

=>The average ranks of all material are calculated(lets give it letter "x")
=>then +4 is added to that average(call it "y")( so y = x + 4)
=>then a random number is generated in the range of 0-y
Hence
Minimum rank possible = 0
Maximum rank possible = y

Theory Two
---------
=> The +4 is added to material of least rank("y")
eg if u have rank 9 wood and rank 6 grass , then + 4 is added to rank 6 (grass) to get 10 ("y" )
=> then the random number is generated in range of 0-y (as in theory One)

Factors which affect Resulting Random number(so basically its not pure random XDXDXD lol )
--------------------------------------------
1=> higher alchemy lvl increase the probability of high rank compounds
2=> use of alchemy books also increase probability of high rank compounds
3=> alchemy books can be used to change that "+4" added
eg= Using no book add +4
Book I add +5
Book II add +6
Book III add +7
Book IV add +8
=>book IV s the highest
4=>there may be more factors that i duno ......

Note=>alchemy books are very expensive and not recommend for lvl 36 weapons usually people use books to compound much higher lvl weapons (like lvl 50+)

WARNING = again i wanna repeat compounding is still like a mystery in WLO and many people have different opinions about it, so these theories may be wrong(but they are best theories i have)

for example to compound bow usually u need base(1st slot)wood and secondary(2nd slot) grass but u "may" get bow if u do it other way round and put grass first and wood second ( but this fails a lot moreXD )
