There is this link that lets you loop instance items back to its based stat. It also removed diamonds as well since ive done it before.

So does anyone know how to properly do it on other eqs besides instance?

I have a lord gown and a heavy spear with bad diamonds and i would like to remove it using alchemy.

Books are hard to come by so i rather not make another one by scratch.

It's only a very off chance that this might happen. When a compound gets reverted, it has to change back to its base stat. Its a little bit easier to loop instance equipment because the base material of those items are more likely to actually do so. Sometimes regular equipment can if it fails, especially for jade.

Overall, your safest bet is to just assume no for most equipment unless you like common stone.
