On WLODB some of these items are categorized under spear / sword but infact have their own seperate category.

How to determine item category; weapon model.

I just searched all the weapons and I don't know what it is? I'm rather confused. I would change it if I could google what it is but we all know wlo has the names wrong for their weapons

They aren't swords, nor are they spears.
They have their own category & cannot be weapon modeled with non-blade weapons.

i get what you're trying to say but let me give you my insight. wlo has been running for a long time and adding a new categories for these items would be somewhat troublesome for new and old players. Sure those items you mention are somewhat needs to be updated but its best to keep things simple since there would be too much categories to pick from.Besides, the player based for this game is somewhat low :( It's easy to distinguish whats the difference between a sword and a spear by the weapon model as well. The sword has a handle that has a grip on it while the spear can be seen with a symbolic top that anyone can recognize if they play for a while.

Getting too specific on the eqs can be troublesome since it'll be harder to find what you are looking for. If we're gonna be specific on the weapon, that means we would probably have to be specific on the body wears as well. Evening wear would have its own categories since it has a distinct difference. BMCs, RDGs, Kung fu catergories, as well, etc. You get the point. Its better to keep things as simple as 9 categories. and I dont really have a problem noticing the difference between each weapon categories.

It's not about making things complicated or simple nor is it about preference.
It's about how it REALLY is a seperate category according to the game.

You can't sew any of those with swords or spears or any other non-blade weapons.
It's a 10th category that nobody commented on for the longest time because most people see sewing / weapon model as something wasteful or either nobody care enough about other people.

Imagine someone spending their time making a draconic knife, hoping to sew it onto their sky sword or lord sword, baaam can't be sewed, there goes all your efforts.

Draconic knife is a blade, not a sword and can't be sewed with swords.

oh, sorry for the misunderstanding then. Sewing isn't one of the things im familiar with since im cheap on my IM points. I kinda doubt someone will put a categories for these eqs but im sure an admin will put this post as a sticky(Glares at Vampire). Even i have it on my favorites so that i can take a look at the list later if i plan to sew something.

I think I would have to contact Scott to add another category because it involves coding.
