i have a niss and a fred any am wondering if my pets will be useless..with out food.i just want to get to 2.5mtk with a lot of ims and frendship brooch i did lether them so they are puting stats to int-con. i want them for to help on quest like js/ds

Niss, maybe.

But your fred won't be useless, he has a lot of base stats, but you might need lethes for him if he gets out of control.

I never got around to scrolling Niss. I had forgotten to do it at 20 so I was hoping to do it after she got to 100. Same with Fred I forgot to scroll him at 20 as well so I just waited till he was 100 and did it before he RB'd. You can see he needs a lot of work with all that WIS.

As for using a brooch just do the math it doubles so add the matk together. 1+1=11.. kidding we all know 1+1 equals 3.

I know that you're talking about non-feed pets but here's a little look at a really fed Niss if you wanna reconsider her for quests. I'm saying that niss is good but you just need to scroll her to right stats. Kojika's Niss, from her story, was just lost from the moment she didn't scroll her at 20. I did, and thank god I did....She's pretty beast from my use and even back when she was still training she had excellent stats. I'd just use both, since you seem thorn about it. Some niss' if you scroll them well from the start (20) with good gear which may have good spars/diamonds and maybe even a brooch will still be just as useful. All these things you can get without spending money in the mall. Brooch you may be able to get if you trade for it in game. It can all work out especially if you have it on a fire character then I see no problem with it.

Some times you need one pet for something and other times its useful to have another type for something else like questing. Often in the middle of a quest if a pet dies and I have no time to revive them or heal them I just swap them for a new pet who is just as useful. The Only problem with this is when it comes to training/lvling each it takes longer.

Where as you would have 1 pet and have them be same lvl as you. (example you are 160 pet is 158) you would instead have 2 pets that are almost less that half. (example you are 160. pets are 113 and 132)

You can always focus on 1 and then when you get tired of them or when they reach the desired lvl you hope for or maxed lvl. You can then switch and lvl a new one.

This way your scrolls, time spent and hard work doesn't go to waste. Mean while just do 15round, NT, quests, instances or any other events that will give you eggs and tokens. That way you can have a random chance to get more scrolls. And with the fun tokens you can try the mall/carnie games to get spars, crits, IM gears or even pet scrolls. If you fail you can still save up the carnie tickets to get scrolls from the lady in carnie. I think its like 160 or 130... I don't buy from the carnie lady so I'm not sure. Just go talk top her and choose "prizes over 110 etc..." and it should say.

its true, its really about how you want to use your pets. Don't choose a pet because other people made it look cool. I chose niss back then when fred was really popular not because I didn't want a fred like everyone else but because it would suit my instance preferences. Niss's sky thunder now does 5.4k damage to wind and water, 8.7k to fire, and 2.7k to earths when hfed so when she's doing instances, she truly is a beast. I can single-handedly kill all of the bosses in sea animals instance. Crazy now when I think back to how she use to be about a year ago. Now she's the ultimate pet I have because I spent so much money and time on her. I think she's about $2200 with im eqs, ss's, and the feeds along with pet scrolls from the mall and spending events. (I always waited until there was a scroll event where you charge some points for scrolls) Elin was intended to be a meatsheild so I just really liked using her on my wind who was also just a decoy. My fire knight(previously fire killer) was why I used niss since it was an excellent combo to have her hf'ed and then use lightning ice on the same turn. Works out great now, she helps me pass CP in only 1hour and 20-30 mins. Depends on whether or not the sharks kill a pet or my flamebrag. I just wanna say that the pet is all depended on preference. Don't go on a pet because someone else makes it seem cool. All pets are kinda c**p until they are really high level or if fed enough. For me....I just had the money from all my Chinese New Years so I was like, f**k it, what else am I gonna use this for? (and no, don't tell me college cuz I don't know if $2000 can cover even part of a tuition)

@Blade; My niss was just fine. she lvled fine and never died once while training. I train all my characters in places that suit their lvl. Meaning anywhere under 19 lvls. so that way they can wear their clothes. My Niss had her belly chain and cloudy sword. IF you did read the story you would have noticed that when I said it.

My story is about me giving up on Niss because due to a mistake I made she ran away and lost my stuff and money and since her amity was to low it was frustrating to continue training her. I'm also the type of person who doesn't like to be a sheep and follow the rest of the herd so after my frustration and seeing so many other people using her I decided to just put her on the back burner (I had plans to come back to her later after my frustration cooled down) and lvled another pet that no one else uses. (now I use Eva instead and she is WORSE than niss so its not about con or failing to train her.

I can show you a screenie of Eva if you like. Other than Eva I also use Angela on that chara so he's training the 2 and o have to say in comparison Niss is better than the two. yet I've decided to not return to her .. at least not on that chara)

So you can't say my Niss was lost since I had gotten her as far as I did. and with 14 free scrolls in game she could have still been "saved". BUT It was MY decision to wait till lvl 100 to scroll her.

If you want to talk about "saved" niss's then here is the last niss I was working on in Gemini. Since there is no one to play /talk to me there I quit that server (It Was prolly 2-3 months ago). I only used 6 or 7 scrolls at lvl 20 on this niss to "save" her.

well ok, my bad and yes I did read your story but seriously, the way to told it kinda gave an idea that after all the fails you just gave up on her cuz it seemed impossible. But yes, like kojika said...a pet can still be "saved" even when its out of control. You just need a lot of scrolls. Easy...for some people.

ill get elin and if elin is not adding to her con with out lether then ill just use niss.i already have 2 tankers pets i do not think i need one more is needed but i guess now that ik niss will not be as good i would like 3 tankers i do hope ever thing goes to plan.i did check my alt that has elin that is non scroll she is adding a lot of con already so i may be able to use her with out lether after all.i just need to go get her.after bursting xoalan and shasha

Elin is like Vicky (in my opinion) that's a pet that doesn't need scrolling as much as because it automatically goes to CON/AGI/STR or any form but Niss is just pure amazing really when fed, although I tried and tried leveling her up I always stop in level 20 =.= because the moment I get back from my computer her Amity is near to dead so prolly I'll choose Fred over Niss since as mentioned from up has a lot of base Stats

In my opinion every pet can be really good without feeding. Yes some may need to be lethed more but in the end it will be worth it. And if you have good equips with good inserts and a friendship brooch the pet in question should be really good. A pet that will be doing DS/JS should also have a decent amount of hp so it wont spawn or be killed fast, the mobs in those fights hit hard.
