Well, I've been on the official forum for some time now, I've "experienced the discussion" as they put it. As far as I am aware of, each server has its own attendance logbook with rewards for the top 3 posters. Considering the fact that this indeed is not the official forum, there will not be any rewards that could be possibly redeemed in the actual game, however, I guess it would be a great opportunity to get to know each other in a way, know about each other's lives.
So I guess there could be one for each server, but I guess just one would do fine for now.

You know what a logbook is right?
Think of it as a journal and every day or so you write something in it. Usually you would put the day, month and year in it so that's what you do here and all he is saying is to put stuff down for the day like how he has a math exam tomorrow (good luck with it by the way!)
It can really be anything as long as you don't include any really personal info or anything that will cause problems.
e.g. you can say you got a pet, had a sweet party, watched a new insanely cool movie etc.
So yea... that's what I think he's trying to get us to do here...

You Have a date in the format of the day first, month, and the year.
So day it would be 29 for the date, May for the month, and 2013 for the year.
The first person to post in that day receives the number 1, as you can see, the first poster in this case would be NJ. Your name can be anything, it doesn't necessarily have to be your Username, it can be your IGN or your nickname. I'm thinking Rikku is RikkuChan, so you can see how she shortened her name, perhaps what she goes by.
And so, since NJ posted first, the next person follows the same numeric format with the number 2. This shows that that person is the second poster of the day after NJ. In this case it would be Cloud. The order continues on and on until the next day when it resets at 1. Date changes, and it starts over again.
This isn't really rocket science...I didn't even have to look at the rules to understand what was going on when I first looked at the attendance logbook for my server.
And actually...I find rocket science to be quite simple~
Btw~Studied about 6 minutes for each and made a 100 on one exam and a 96 on the other~
