heeheee, you guys will kill me for this but...

Speed: Char > pet
Fire Mage lvl 43 with fiery attack + slow + poison. (duh)
Elin lvl 29 with gun.

1st round: slow, pet defend
2nd round: poison, pet defend
3rd round: fiery attack , pet attack.

that gives me about 800 exp if repeated on each monster in pine.
(5 Tender Cirrus)
Its not always that you get 800 exp.. but its about 60% chance =P
