so lets get this straight
a rank 2 + a rank 2 = a rank 4 so since the secondary rank matched the primary it added +2
but if you combine a rank 2 + a rank 1 or 3 = a rank 3 since there's a difference between the base and the secondary
then if it goes beyond a 1 rank difference like say a rank 2 + a rank 4 = a rank 2 like before since its just withing the limit of the base and +0 would be added
so the closer the rank is to the base the higher the rank boost is correct?
or am i wrong and also consider stopping on trying to figure this out?
also that the base of the item is the only thing that counts as an ingredient in the compound and the secondary of that item is thrown out the window for example
a compound between a copper/wood item and flower/ copper would actually only have the base ingredient as copper and secondary as flower since they're the bases of the 2 items used in the compound
at least that's what i understand
correct me if I'm at all wrong please
also since the highest rank in a compound becomes the dominant then we should be able to manipulate compounds even more right?
