MOB level > your own level + 19 = equips will be broken MOB level = your own level + 19 = equips are safe. MOB level < your own level + 19 = no problem! Same for your pet's level. If you still want to train with them, then battle naked! Yes, naked, it means battle without any equips. Or use equips which you don't mind they will be broken.
