Metatron is right. This is a big thing that I often forget when I revive. You have to revive the pet/character and have that character attack the next round in order to gain any proficiency. If you revive the pet/character and they die the next turn or your party attacks without the one you just revived you won't get any proficiency. Which is a bum. If you are training in a team that has the electronic remote set them up to use defend when a party member is killed. That way your water can revive the character and there is less risk of the party finishing off the monster while your water is reviveing. If they defend when a party member dies they will defend while the water revives the dead party member then on the next turn if your spd is close together then you party has a good chance of comboing and therfore you have a higher chance of lvling your revive proficiency.
